The late-model factory power steering pump on the Mopar Gen Iii Hemi engines has too much pressure for the steering box on most older muscle cars & trucks. This mounting plate is designed to mount Power Steering Pump 198-104 on Gen Iii Hemi Engines.

This special Saginaw type Ii power steering pump produces the proper pressure, and works with pulley 97-383 to operate the pump at the proper speed when used with the existing drive system on Gen Iii Hemi engines. The complete kit (part # VK090244) includes the power steering pump with reservoir, mounting plate, hardline adapter, and pulley.
