Description
MSI Racing Products Racing Wheel Studs are CNC machined from a proprietary, traceable steel, then heat treated to 185,000 psi for strength and durability.
Unlike other products that have machined, or cut threads, that remove material, MSI utilizes CNC Thread Forming Dies that utilize high pressure to form the threads into the steel. This compressive forming operation re-aligns the grain structure of the steel creating a far superior thread shape that is more consistent and durable for the multiple cycles a typical racing wheel stud experiences over its lifetime.
MSI then applies a proprietary low-friction Teflon-Moly coating that ensures consistent wheel torque by reducing thread friction.
All MSI wheel studs are laser marked with a part number and manufacture date prior to packaging for traceability.
We introduced the Mid-Length RSPEC Racing Wheel Stud around 8 years ago and it has become the industry standard wheel stud as a matching rear stud companion to our full length RSPEC studs used up front.
This Mid-Length RSPEC stud will work with the Rear OEM Carbon Wheels on the GT350R and GT500. This stud will take up to a 17mm spacer.
Recently redesigned with an extended shoulder to support the rotor hat and additional shoulder profile changes to improve overall toughness in the hardest competition environments.
The RSPEC wheel stud will fit any hub that utilizes .625” diameter Knurl.
We have a matching RSPEC Racing Wheel Stud which is designed for front or rear fitment or used on the front with up to a 50mm spacer and will work with the OEM Front Carbon Wheels on the GT350R and GT500.
Fitment
Fits any hub designed for a .625" Diameter Knurl.
This stud is designed for rear fitment on any S550 or S650 Mustang. Works with the OEM Rear Carbon wheels on the GT350R and GT500.
This stud will accept up to 17mm of wheel spacer and can be used on the front or rear.
This stud matches the style of our RSPEC studs typically designed for front applications.
